On Feb. 28, 2005 the Santa Monica City Council voted to support a dog beach resolution. They voted to support AB 359, the California state Assembly bill which seeks to establish a pilot dog beach at Dockweiler (near LAX), and to request that Santa Monica be included on the bill.
As of now (2011), the bill never made it to a full legislative vote.
